This release brings together two heavy hitters of the Spirit world, the legendary Parker Beam, Heaven Hill Distilleries’ 6th generation Master Distiller, and Alain Royer, an innovative French Cognac blender, to create the sweetest music together, a Cognac-finished Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
With this collaboration, Parker carefully hand-selected a very limited number of the finest, super-premium barrels of 10-year-old Bourbon. Handing it over to Alain, he raised the already great Whiskey to new heights by finishing it in 2-3-year-old Limousin oak casks from the House of Frapin. The Grande Champagne Cognac, which had aged in those casks, permeated the wood with its very light, floral, and evanescent bouquet.
The resulting Spirit combines the best of both worlds, the rich sweet fruit flavors from the Cognac barrels and the Bourbon's spicy nature, into pure art. To be enjoyed on special occasions—definitely while listening to some legendary musical duets.
